Annette’s Pizza Bread:
And here it is: Annette Tracy’s FAMOUS pizza bread recipe. If you have not been to an HOA session, then you have missed out on one of the best culinary treats of the century. Annette’s Pizza Bread has become a staple at our workshops, and now you can make it at home, too!
1 loaf frozen bread dough
pepperoni (28 to 32 slices)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Thaw a loaf of frozen bread dough. Roll out or press out dough with fingers on a cookie sheet until almost 9 x 13 inches in size. Cover bread with pepperoni (4 off-set rows of 7 or 8 each) and cheese. Sprinkle with oregano and basil. Roll up like a jellyroll (long and skinny) and pinch shut so you are left with a tube almost 13 inches long. Squeeze along the entire length of the loaf to get out whatever air pockets you can. Bake at 325 for 25 minutes.
We have better luck with the look and flavor when using an old cookie sheet, rather than one of the teflon coated ones, or baking stones (for those of you into Pampered Chef). We also use the cheapest bread, cheese, pepperoni, and spices available. (This information is provided because we get a lot of feedback that “mine just never turns out as good as yours.” You may be putting too much effort into it.)
Try broccoli, spinach, onion, bacon, mushrooms and other cheeses as fillings. Once made, this may be stored in refrigerator for several days before baking.
Thank’s for sharing this with us, Annette!
